Have you ever dreamed of an African Safari but didn’t know where to start? It is an easy “bucket list” item, but do many actually go on safari? As you go through the following pages, I hope to inspire you and others to venture off into the amazing world of Africa. But, my photography doesn’t stop at Africa, I travel around the world and share and hopefully inspire you to go with me either on one of my trips or just to sit back and imagine yourself in a different place.
When I use the word, “Safari,” I don’t mean only Africa. I believe each one of us have amazing places in our own hometown, vacations, etc that we can go on safari to explore.
The word “Safari” started out as an Arabic verb, which means, “to make a journey.” This word was infused into the Swahili language where it refers to an expedition or voyage, an subsequently into the English language.
